Progressive was founded on March 10, 1937 by two men named Joseph Lewis and Jack Green. Progressive also offers insurance through Drive from Progressive and Progressive Direct, two of their affiliate companies.
The Progressive Corporation is a publicly traded company. They did $14,303.4 million in sales in 2005.
Progressive’s corporate vision is “to reduce the human trauma and economic costs associated with automobile accidents. We do this by providing our customers with services designed to help them get their lives back in order again as quickly as possible.”
